According to a 2015 study conducted by AT&T, 70% of drivers nationwide use their smartphones while operating vehicles.
Pennsylvania is certainly not immune to the devastation caused by cell-phone related distracted driving.
In November of 2016 Pennsylvania governor Tom Wolf signed Daniel’s Law, which enhances the penalties for an accident caused by texting while driving resulting in serious bodily injury or death.
How often do PA drivers use their phone while driving?
As attorneys who represent auto accident victims, we understand the dangers of distracted driving this all too well.
We wanted to know what percentage of PA drivers use their phone’s while driving, so we surveyed 1,000 people to find out.
Please note that 15% of respondents indicated that they do not drive. We did not include these respondents in the data points below.
