Dennis Abrams co-founded the Christian Legal Clinics of Philadelphia in 2001. Today, there are three clinics, two in West Philadelphia and one in North Philadelphia. Approximately 30 lawyers and paralegals from various firms volunteer their time to staff these clinics. Lowenthal & Abrams, Injury Attorneys, is proud to have representatives of our firm volunteer their time at the clinics.
The clinics see approximately 5-6 clients a week, most of whom are low-income and could otherwise not afford legal counsel. Common inquires include issues related to tenant / landlord issues, Section 8 housing, Social Security disability, unemployment compensation, tax law, and family law issues. Not only are questions answered, but often clients will go to court with free legal representation if their situation warrants it.
