You do not have to pay an attorney for an initial consultation for a workers’ compensation case. If you see an attorney for an initial consultation and they do want to charge you, you should leave his or her office and go and seek another attorney.  But any reputable workers’ compensation attorney should give you a free initial consultation about your case.
