Workers Compensation v. Unemployment Compensation?
Our Workers’ Compensation department is lead by Jim Mogul, a certified workers’ compensation attorney*. If you have been injured at work and need assistance with workers’ compensation benefits, contact Jim today for a free case evaluation. There is no fee unless you recover compensation.
Workers’ compensation benefits are better than unemployment compensation benefits because they are not taxable, and because they are generally more income, and because you have legal rights to receive them for longer periods of time than unemployment compensation benefits. Unemployment compensation is a system for when you are able to work, you have no problems working, but there is no work available from the employer, and you have been laid off or economically downsized when there is no work available because of the economy, then that is what unemployment compensation is designed for.
