Medical malpractice is a type of negligence. You can think of it as similar to a motor vehicle accident. If the driver does something that is not acceptable and is not with care, then that’s negligence. A driver can’t drive through a red light. Medical malpractice is really very similar. It’s something that a doctor does or doesn’t do that’s not acceptable medical care. In other words it’s medical negligence. And it doesn’t have to be a doctor, it can be any medical care provider, not giving you the care that is up to standard.
