If you are granted SSD benefits, you will be entitled to medical benefits. Under the social security regulations, if you are granted social security disability benefits, you are entitled to receive Medicare. But you will only receive Medicare two years after the onset date, the day that you became disabled, so depending on when your disability date is and when social security has rendered a decision granting you benefits, there may be a certain amount of time that you might not have benefits. So it is important to have an attorney tell you when that time frame could be and when you will be entitled to Medicare benefits.
