You do not have to let the nurse case manager go to your doctor’s appointments. I think that is a very very bad idea. I think your your doctor’s appointments should be private between you and your doctor. The nurses will act very pleasant, very knowledgeable and like they are just there to help you. But let’s be realistic as to what they are there for. They are not working for you. They are working for the insurance company. They are hired by the insurance company, they are paid by the insurance company. Nurse case managers will sometimes say they have a right to come to your appointments with you. That is absolutely incorrect. There is absolutely nothing in the law that says they have the right to come to your appointments with you.
